After years of being in pain my doctor recommended Professor Lloyd. The care I received and professional way in which I was treated was amazing. The operation was a success and after 2 weeks I have been discharged and the severe pain I was in has now disappeared.
I had a Lloyd release procedure on my right side in 2016 on the NHS at Nuffield Health in Leicester. Consultation, surgery and aftercare from Professor Lloyd were all excellent. In 2019 I had the release procedure on my left side through BUPA at Spire Leicester and once again the care I received was first class. Professor Lloyd initially gave treatment to enable me to complete the football season and then I was booked in for surgery at a date to suit me. On the day of the surgery he took my travel distance into account when deciding where I should be on the list which meant I was able to go home the same day rather than staying overnight. I have recommended Professor Lloyd to several friends who’ve experienced symptoms similar to mine. I should also mention his secretary Lynne who is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I met Professor Lloyd 1 week before my keyhole surgery for 3 hernias.
He examined me, listened to me and explained the procedure and answered any questions I had.
Before surgery and early the following morning (overnight stay required due to age) he visited to check how I was and then authorised my discharge.
Today, 2 weeks after surgery I have seen him for my check up. His work is fabulous and as far as I am concerned there is hardly any evidence of an operation having taken place. Everything is back to normal so I have been discharged. Perfect result.
Professor Lloyd had been very approachable, he listens and acts very professionally.
I underwent a Lloyd Release procedure on a Thursday afternoon. I then walked out of hospital on the Friday morning feeling fine, got the train home, no problems. Saturday morning I went for a bike ride with my son. That is how fast you are back to being mobile/active.
Done a lot of stretching, yoga and gentle weights 0-4 weeks to increase the mobility of the area.
4+ weeks on now and I'm able to squat, jump, lift, run and kick with nearly full strength and mobility.
Worth the trip to Leicester from Brighton. Thanks.
